About Kathy

Just in case you were wondering about the creator of Eyes On Roanoke,  I am a cat-loving, beach loving, island hopping advertising executive for Valley Business FRONT magazine who loves reading, cooking, laughing, working out, dark chocolate,  and just plain getting to know folks.  My previous life was spent in real estate, print advertising (yes, I’m baaack!)  and management.  I have a degree in Business Management, which sometimes comes in handy in my current profession, but mostly is pretty useless when it comes to dealing with people.  I have a passion for my business and believe in treating people the way I’d like to be treated – you know The Golden Rule thing.   I’m a real stickler for customer service and can really get on my soapbox when there’s stinky customer service involved, so you can bet I’m going to talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to customer service.  I’ve been living in Roanoke since 1987 and honestly, it’s a great place to live.  I love to show off the sights and sounds in the area and promote our businesses.  I am still (for now) a licensed REALTOR, which keeps me in touch with that aspect of the Roanoke Valley.

Hey Kathy!

I quite enjoy your Eyes on Roanoke! Nicely done!

I have a question for you: you joined us for a session of Soul Line Dancing over here at Mountain View. We have a new session beginning this Thursday, May 6th and we need a few more folks to make it fly. Sign up and join us again, if you’d like!

Keep up the good job on the website!

Beth

Hi Beth, Glad you’re enjoying “Eyes”. Spread the word and tell everyone that they can hit the “like” button on EyesonRoanoke on Facebook. I’ve got right much going on and probably will not do the class at this time, but I appreciate you thinking of me. I still would like to do a feature post on your beautiful rec center.

Hi Kath,

You never cease to amaze me as the most industrious person I know. I miss you terribly so jump on a plane and come see me. What else have you got to do? As if….
